Doble Energía is a 7-person salsa-formation with musicians from Cuba, Venezuela, Spain and The Netherlands. A concert of this band guarantees a musical journey through Cuba and New York: places where son and salsa music were born.
With its repertoire Doble Energía goes back to the old Son and Salsa classics from Cuba and New York, played by celebrities as Eddie Palmieri, Willie Colón, and Dimensión Latina.
Characteristic of Doble Energía is the two-headed trombone section, which was found in the salsa’s high days with many salsa bands. Their gritty sound fits perfectly with the salsa.
Special guest in the band is the wellknown Venezuelan singer Javier Plaza. He used to be the singer of various legendary salsa-orchestras like Sexteto Juventud, Federico y su combo, Enrique “Culebra” Iriarte y su Orquesta & Conexión Latina.
