Orquesta La Esencia was founded in 2012 as a 10-person salsa-formation with musicians from Cuba, Spain, Belgium and The Netherlands. The name ‘La Esencia’ wasn’t picked at random. What the band shows it that in the early days of salsa an enormous amount of great music was written. En how in particular the musicians of the legendary Fania-label from a series of styles – – son montuno, mambo, guaracha, guaguancó, mozambique, boogaloo, … – created one all-embracing style: salsa.
A La Esencia concert therefore doesn’t only guarantee very danceable music, but also for a musical adventure!
