La Salsatología will let you hear how present day Cuba sounds. This 7-person formation brings a mix of Cuban salsa and salsaton. Salsaton is a mix of salsa with reggaeton influences, very danceable and at the moment incredibly popular in Cuba and Latin America.
In order to offer something to everyone and make every party complete also some bachata’s and merengue’s have been added to the repertoire.
La Salsatología was founded by the Cuban singer and rapper Rey Flores, who was born in Havana in 1982. He spent his youth singing in popbands, and Cuban trios and quartetos. At the age of 20 he became a member of the salsaband Aché Havana, toured through Europe with them and settled subsequently in Belgium.
